I'll be competing against Cara Brigandi of Grown Folks Stories, Scott Whitehair of This Much is True Storytelling, Shannon Cason of Moth Chicago, Luis Perez of Vocalo FM’s Stories and Music, Jacob Knabb of Another Chicago Magazine, Jesse Jordan of RUI, Jeff Kerr of Criminal Class Press, and several more. Out of 15 semi-finalists only 5 will advance to the All-City Championships where they will share the stage with new Chicagoan Irvine Welsh author of Trainspotting and Skagboys at the Viaduct Theatre May 26th. The audience will decide who advances to the big stage -- so come out and howl for me!

Join 2nd Story this September as we head to In Fine Spirits in Andersonville for a very special performance exploring the challenges of becoming an adult. From a young man’s discovery of music with “dangerous lyrics,” to a divorcee’s attempt at a one night stand, we bring you stories dealing with the never ending challenge of growing up."
I'll be performing with Eileen Dougherty, Andrew Reilly, and Jessica Young.
8/4-6 R-Sa 7 p (8:30 p on Friday) 15th Annual Fillet of Solo Festival , Heartland Studio Theatre (aka BOHO), 7016 N. Glenwood Avenue, Chicago, IL. I'll be performing Ferocious Love alongside Kelli Strickland's We've Got a Badge for That
The overall festival runs from July 21-August 7. Most events are $10, but there are Festival Passes available for $30, good for all shows except for the event on August 7, which runs $20. The link above leads to further details.
